Hello all!!! Hope this finds you all doing well.
The year 2024 has been moving at a rapid speed and the last few months have been a blur, nevertheless, a busy one for CASLI. Since late May 2024, CASLI team has been short-staffed without a Testing Specialist and we have been working with extra workload the past few months. CASLI Team continues to work to get caught up so we thank you for your patience with this.
A few things we would like to highlight this month for your awareness:
CASLI NEW Testing Specialist:
After a few months of not having a testing specialist, the CASLI team has been working to hire one. Finally, we have a new Testing Specialist that has recently started a few weeks ago and are excited to have them part of our team. CASLI’s newest testing specialist is: Melissa Kononenko. Her bio can be found here. Please join us in welcoming her as part of the CASLI team.
Update on NIC Performance Exam
Within the past year, CASLI has been working with raters to complete the rating of all NIC Performance exams that were taken during the beta period (between July 2022 – December 2023). As raters started rating the new NIC Performance Exam back in August 2023, they have made significant progress as all exams during the beta period have been rated. Since early spring 2024, beta period has concluded and raters have been rating 2024 exams. HUGE kudos to them for their dedication and work on this.
Currently, CASLI strives for candidates to get their results within 90 days from the date they took the exam. Recently, during the summer, CASLI experienced a significant number of exams being taken which created a backlog of exams to be rated. Additionally, raters have been busy with their lives, summer vacation, conference, et cetera. As a result of this, this has led to a slight delay with candidates getting their results within the anticipated 90 days’ time frame and candidates can certainly expect their results within 120 days. CASLI will continue to work with raters to rate candidates’ exams to ensure candidates get them within 90 days. For the time being, please know there may be slight delay and CASLI thank you for your patience with this. If you have any concerns regarding this, please do not hesitate to contact us.
ONE year policy for Purchased Exams
Friendly reminder that CASLI has a policy in place for purchased exams, which must be taken within one year from the purchase date (provided that the testing cycle does not expire before that one-year window). As CASLI continues to enforce this policy, please be mindful of this when you purchase your exam and/or if you are approaching the one-year time from when you purchased the exam to ensure you take the exam prior or request refund before the one-year window expires. CASLI will honor and process refunds ONLY for exams that have been purchased within the past year. IF the exam is not taken nor a refund is requested, then the candidate would forfeit all exam fees. This is to help CASLI with tracking of exam purchases within our fiscal year and reduce bulk of liability on CASLI.
If there are any questions or concerns regarding this, please reach out to us.
Testing Cycle Expiration:
A friendly reminder to monitor your testing cycle expiration date. There is a large volume of candidates whose testing cycles are slated to expire in 2025. Please be aware of your testing cycle expiration date so you do not miss out the opportunities to take your exams. If you are not sure of your testing cycle and need to know your testing cycle expiration date immediately in concern that the testing cycle may expire soon; please contact us.
