POSITION: Testing Specialist, Remote

SUMMARY: The Testing Specialist is the “front-line” staff that will support the daily operations of the organization by providing customer service to exam candidates along with other CASLI stakeholders. The Testing Specialist will support the Testing Manager and Testing Director by providing administrative and operational support as tasked.
This position is a remote full-time position and requires experience working independently as a highly organized, flexible (e.g. possibly available on weekends and evenings as needed), “self-starter”, with excellent time management skills, and ability to prioritize tasks to the needs of the job and meet strict deadlines. The Testing Specialist will gain understanding of the CASLI examination process, assist candidates with the exam registration process & other inquiries. The Testing Specialist also should be familiar with the LTA roles and duties, and provide support to the Testing Manager as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
CUSTOMER SERVICE: The Testing Specialist will be the primary point of contact and support provider for exam candidates and will support the Testing Manager and Testing Director. This requires excellent written communication and interpersonal communication (“soft”) skills.
The Testing Specialist will:
- Respond to email and phone inquiries from candidates and stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Provide support to candidates throughout the exam registration process.
- Process candidates’ exam request forms in a timely manner through verification process and add exams to candidates’ account upon verification.
- As needed, communicate with vendors and test administrators regarding candidate information to ensure the proper administration of exams.
ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES: The Testing Specialist will have daily operational and administrative duties to:
- Analyze and reconcile information and post information as needed. Identify and recommend policies and procedures, as needed, to maximize efficiency, quality, and consistency within CASLI operations.
- Support in maintenance and update of CASLI’s website materials and pages related to exam processes, ensuring accuracy and currency.
- Process exam requests and verify candidate’s eligibility prior to assigning exams.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other RID departments (e.g. certification, accounting, member services, etc.) as needed.
- Conduct data entry of candidates’ examination information and update testing cycle expiration dates. Perform additional manual data entry as necessary.
- Extract and analyze database reports and support Testing Manager and Testing Director.
- Assist with demographic reports and other essential reports.
- Provide support with meetings, including logistics, preparation of meeting materials, including RID conference/events as needed, etc.
OTHER DUTIES
- Recommend and make changes to operational procedures as needed to maximize quality and efficiency.
- Consistently employ measures to keep exam materials/contents and candidate identities confidential and secure.
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Advanced to native ASL and strong written English skill
- Administrative support, customer service, and data entry experience are a plus
- Proficient interpersonal and communication skills
- Capable of working in a team-based environment
- Demonstrates ability to be flexible and has proficient time management skills
- Capable of taking directions, prioritizing tasks, and meeting strict deadlines
- Demonstrates ability to think critically and apply effective problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google application products
- Database experience is a plus

SALARY RANGE: $41,000 – $51,000
