December is already here and we are a few weeks from the end of 2023. CASLI as always continue to be busy as we continue to do our work and doing our best to keep up with everything that has been going on. Thank you for your patience and support as we continue to work in keeping things progressing.
NIC Performance Exam results update:
At the time of writing this, raters are finishing up April 2023 exams. This means all exams between July 2022 – April 2023 have been sent out. For May 2023 exam result – some may go out before the holidays while what has not been rated will go out early in the new year. Please keep in mind with upcoming holidays and vacations, raters will be spending times with their family/friends. For that reason, deployment of exam results may slow down a bit for the next few weeks or so. Come January 2024, we anticipate to wrap up May – July 2023 exams and then February will focus on the July and on. As of right now, we anticipate a bit of delay with finishing up 2023 exams which is more likely to conclude around March 2024. We thank you for your patience and understanding with this process.
Case Studies Exam:
For candidates who have already taken the case studies exam with either Knowledge Exam or Performance exam but did not successfully pass it, you can take the Case Study exams as a standalone exam provided the three months wait period has passed. This is in recognition that candidates testing cycle time frame where they should not have to wait longer to be eligible for retaking the Case Studies with the Performance exam and this is an avenue to help candidates have more time and opportunities to take the Case Studies rather than require them to take it with the Performance exam six (6) months after it was last taken. If you have any questions regarding this, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Processing Time & Response Time:
As the holiday approaches, CASLI will be closed December 22 until January 2 and CASLI team will be taking time off for the holiday. For that reason, exam request made after December 20th will not be processed until early January and response time to emails will be delayed until CASLI team are back in office. Please be mindful of this and plan ahead.
Testing Cycle Expiration:
CASLI will continue to calculate candidates testing cycle expiration dates in the upcoming months. When candidates have received their exam results, testing cycle expiration date will be updated within 60 days on your CASLI account. If you need to know your testing cycle expiration date immediately in concern that testing cycle may expire soon; please contact us and we will calculate it and communicate with you.
CASLI Testing Sites:
With upcoming holidays and other things happenings, some of the testing sites have changed their status and/or have limited availability. Some sites even have closed their site temporarily (or permanently) due to other reasons. Please, when planning your test appointment logistics, please monitor CASLI’s LTA sites and review any notes that may have been added. Color pins represents the following: Green – available to take exam at; Purple – site is temporarily closed for exam administration; Yellow & Red – site is currently going through implementation process and not yet able to administer exams.
As always, CASLI continues to strive in expanding our network of testing sites by implementing more sites across the US and even Canada. If you know of possible organizations/company/business or even colleges/universities that would be a good fit, please let us know and we will reach out to them. Opportunity to become rater for CASLI:
Applications to become rater for CASLI exams are accepted on rolling basis. If you are interested in becoming raters, please apply. Those who apply to become a rater MUST be certified with RID certification. We continue to need more BIPOC and Deaf raters. If any questions regarding this, please contact testing@casli.org
Holiday Closure:
CASLI’s office will be closed starting December 22, 2022 until January 3, 2023. Our staff will be off. If you contact us during that time frame, we will not be responding to emails or calls. We will get back to you on January 3, 2023 or afterward.
