On June 9 and 10, 2018, CASLI’s Testing Committee convened in Washington, DC for a two-day retreat to review the preliminary results of the Deaf Interpreter Job Task Analysis Survey and to discuss potential examination designs for both the Deaf interpreter and hearing interpreter “knowledge” and “performance” exams. The next step in the test development process will be assembling three committees each of item writers – people to help with creating the content of the exams, and item reviewers – people who will read and review the exam content and questions and suggest revisions.
